    ESPN's Love Obsession with Duke

They were just going over the "senior sendoffs" of the great Duke players. Mentioned what Hill, Brand (who didn't even play as a senior) did on their senior nights etc.

They literally did Shane Battier and said that he beat Maryland 91-80 on his senior night. It was even on the bottom label. I don't think I've ever been so mad. Now its another 5 minute love fest for the rivalry.

I don't really get bothered much by the ESPN hype of Duke, but this bothered me. Flat out lied to pump up the game more. That's actually horrible journalism...I can't believe that they did that on accident.

At least Maryland beat Duke 3 times today, it cant get much better than that.

PVFAN really makes me laugh sometimes, this is one of them. Duke rules the land, Coach K for president.

True measure of a team's success, everyones hatred for them.

Sad thing is you know I'm right on this one. Battier lost at Dixon Indoor on his senior night.

    [ QUOTE ]
If he(battier) lost ay dixon idoor that wouldnt make that his seniro night. Senior night is at their home court on their last home game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

He called it Dixon Indoor referring to Cameron. Because Juan Dixon played well at Cameron.

Re: ESPN's Love Obsession with Duke

Dixon Indoor is a term used by Maryland fans in the early 00's when Maryland won at Cameron on the back of Juan Dixon. Dixon and company beat Duke on senior night at Duke. The following season Maryland went 15-1 in the ACC, which is still the best regular season record in the ACC since the turn of the century. BTW, congrats to your Heels. Think Frasor is the second coming of Phil Ford?

Re: ESPN's Love Obsession with Duke

I guess thats why they will be ranked number one Monday? If your going to promote Duke as much as ESPN does they should at least report old games correctly, they lost on Battier's Senior Night and Brand didn't even have one. Thats just common ACC Basketball knowledge.
